A Concert of Remembrance

Renaissance – directed by Ben Rowarth
Jonathan Clinch – organ
Saturday 10thNovember – 7.30pm
St George’s Cullercoats
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear Victoria’s stunning Requiem accompanied by a selection of intensely moving 21st Century Choral Music and sung by one of the North East’s up and coming semi-professional vocal ensembles.
Renaissance (director Ben Rowarth) have been going from strength to strength since they were founded just over a year ago. Taking their singers largely from Durham University students, staff and alumni, they produce unique and specialist performances of music from the Renaissance era setting it alongside contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
‘I have never been more impressed by choral singing in Durham. Such excellent student enterprise drives standards and enthusiasm.’ – Ralph Allwood, 2012
Tickets available on the door – £5
