Jonathan Clinch

Welcome! I’m a British musician and academic. My main focus is English music and culture, but I’m also interested in digital humanities and death studies. I hold the post of Lecturer in Academic Studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, having previously been Frank Bridge Research Fellow at the Royal College of Music, OCVE Research Associate at Cambridge University and a Teaching Fellow at Birmingham University.

I’m currently working on a volume of Herbert Howells’ unpublished piano music for Musica Britannica and two books: an edited volume on the music of Frank Bridge, and a biography of Herbert Howells.

This site gives you a little taste of my writing and playing. Details of forthcoming performances and lectures also appear here. Do get in touch!
